Get Your Music Heard & Make Your Music Sell!

Welcome to the article section of AaronBeats.com! I told you all that my goal is to help you get to the next level in your music career. So this section of aaronbeats.com will contain articles and resources that you need to perfect your craft, and to get your music heard. I want aaronbeats.com to be your key to the door of music success. I know how it is to be an up and coming artist trying to get somewhere, and I know that most up and coming artists don't have thousands of dollars to spend to put together a demo or mixtape! If you do, then contact me for custom and exclusive beats. If you don't, I am still here for you.

I have done production for lots of artists throughout the world, small and big-time. There are a lot of things that new artists don't realize about the music industry, and about how to get in it. There are tons of extrememly talented artists who never make it because of money and politics.

Many new hip-hop artists today are mesmorized by the images they see on tv of rap stars livin' like Kings. They sit sideways on dubs & 22's, talk with a mouth full of diamonds and platinum, and have all the money, cars, and of course the ladies. The question that most people ask is: "How can I get in they spot?" Some artists, with high hopes, think that all they have to do is download a couple of "industry instrumentals" and record over them on they're Karaoke Machine! Then they start sendin' their demos to record companies expecting them to listen, and expecting to get a record deal. The few, and I do mean the very few who get signed that way are in for a big surprise. They think that they've "made it," until they've spent all of they're advance money and realize that they have to pay it back before they really start making money. Others are awakened when they are shelved, stuck working a 9-5 job waiting forever to record they're album, sometimes years. The very few who actually get to record an album then have to go through the suspense of hoping the record company likes it enough to actually release it.

The best way to get in the game (which you probably already know) is the M.C. Hammer way. Get ya own album/mixtape together, and get ya own fanbase together, and hustle, without the record company. As a matter of fact, I know cats that turn down record deals and keep hustlin' on their own, because they don't like what the company is offering them. They have POWER, power to negotiate, and power to pick and choose what type of deal they want. They don't just jump at whatever deal comes their way. They have this power, because they have shown thier city, and the record companies that they can make a name for themself. When record companies see this, they jump at the opportunity to sign them. Why? Because they figure if an artist can get that much support by themself without the record company's big budget, imagine what they could do with it.

Record companies are in business to make money. Think of them like a bank. A bank makes it's money by lending money to people in the form of credit cards, car loans, and home loans, and then charging interest on that amount to the customer. Banks don't just give you money to go buy whatever you want and not pay them back. Record companies work in a similar way. They basically give you a big loan to get your album done and marketed. Depending on your deal, they will LEND you a few nice cars and cribs to boost your image, which will encourage more record sales, which means more money for them. (Oh yea, and a little bit for you too.) The point is, record companies are trying to make money just like you, and that's the reason why it's harder to get a GOOD record deal when you have no power.

The problem is, most new artists can't afford to get an album, or mixtape done. The main thing that stops them is getting good sounding beats. So they go and buy "Music Generator" for playstation and try to make them on their own. They become discouraged when thier album doesn't have that "Platinum Sound." The best remedy for this is, let producers produce, and stick to perfecting your craft of rapping. But, like I said before, independant artists usually cannot afford original beats. The few people that they know either charge $2000 per beat, or just had a kid and got married or some stuff like that.

So we've come up with the problem, the solution, but now we run into another problem.
Here's they story:

You're the hottest artist in your city. You got all the talent in the world, and all you need is some original beats to flow or sing to, so you can get in the studio, put it down, hustle and watch it go platinum right? You meet up with a producer, and you hear the hot beats that you need to get your album done. Then, you ask him how much, and he tells you $2000 a piece. Then you just pull out your wallet and give him the money, right?.....

Nope. Why not? Because most unsigned artists can't afford to pay money like that for tracks.

Especially from a producer who has never sold a record himself. Why should you pay this no-name cat a bunch of money that you don't have... Because the beat is hot, and just what you are looking for, but still... All you're trying to do is get some hot songs recorded, so you can get on the grind and get signed, or get a distribution deal, right?

That's what I've noticed with most of the unsigned artists that I work with, so I came up with a little idea to help unsigned artists get in the door. That's why you're here. I've done beats and production for a lot of breaking artists, and still currently do it. But the way this works is, I designate a certain amount of beats that go on this website every month. All you have to do is visit the main site, www.aaronbeats.com, listen to the samples and pick the beats that you want to use. Professional, Qualtiy Beats.
